TRANSLATIONAL SCIENCE 2024

Response to COVID-19

Vaccination Policy for Translational Science 2022

ACTS is committed to providing a safe, healthy environment for our attendees, sponsors, and partners to come together in-person that aligns with national and local COVID-19 guidelines. To ensure our attendees' health and security at Translational Science 2022, ACTS has implemented the following policy, effective September 22, 2021:

Vaccination against COVID-19 is required to attend Translational Science 2022. Attendees will have to certify they are fully vaccinated at time of registration. “Full vaccination” means it has been at least 14 days since receiving the second dose of a FDA authorized two-dose vaccine or it has been at least 14 days after receiving a FDA authorized single-dose vaccine.

ACTS' policies in response to COVID-19 are subject to change as national and local health and safety guidelines are updated leading up to Translational Science 2022.

Update: April 12, 2022

Chicago Vaccine Mandates
As of February 28, 2022, the city of Chicago’s vaccine mandate has been lifted and individuals will not be required to show proof of vaccination in many situations such as indoor dining, gyms, or some entertainment venues where food or drink are being served (i.e. restaurants, bars, etc.). Visit Chicago.gov for more details. Please note some business and organizations may have their own vaccine and/or mask requirements. Translational Science 2022 attendees are still required to be fully vaccinated to attend the meeting.

Will masks be required during Translational Science 2022?
April 12, 2022: Following recent Chicago and Illinois COVID-19 policy updates, ACTS will have an optional mask policy for Translational Science 2022. As this is a gathering of translational science and clinical research professionals who may be in contact with high risk patients, ACTS recommends wearing a face mask (or N95/KN95 respirator) while inside the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. We also encourage face masks outdoors if in very close proximity with others. Individual masking choices will be respected. The Hyatt Regency McCormick Place will continue to follow Hyatt’s Global Care & Cleanliness Commitment policies during Translational Science 2022.
