Member Profile

How do I access my member profile?

·         When logged in, click on My Profile under My Options.

How do I change my password?

·         When logged in, click on My Profile under My Options.

·         Under the Actions button, select Change Password.

How do I edit my profile?

·         When logged in, click on My Profile under My Options.

·         On your profile page, click the Edit Profile button on the right. Your full profile will be visible and editable.

How do I update my email address where all of my ACTS communications will be sent?

Please Note: ACTS' new website allows members to display one email address in the Member Directory, and have another email on file where all ACTS communications will be sent.

·         When logged in, click on My Profile under My Options.

·         On your profile page, click Edit Profile.

·         Your Public Email is the email that will display in the Member Directory.
**If you have opted out of this search, this email will not be displayed anywhere.

·         Your Private Email is the email where all communications (including forum digests) will be sent.

·         When you are done editing your emails, save your changes by clicking on the OK link at the bottom left-hand corner of the page.

How do I add a bio or signature to my member profile?

Please Note: ACTS’ new member profiles include biography and signature fields. Use these to communicate your background to our members and provide your contact information easily when posting to our discussion forums.

·         When logged in, click on "My Profile" under My Options.

·         On your profile page, click the Edit Profile button on the right. Your full profile will be visible and editable.

·         At the bottom of the profile, you will see the signature and member biography fields. Format your information as desired, and save your changes click OK at the bottom left-hand corner of the page.

How do I add my picture to my member profile?

·         When logged in, click on My Profile under My Options.

·         Click on the My Pictures button on the right-hand side of the page.

·         To upload a picture, click on the Update File button, and then the Browse button to choose your image from your desktop.

To save your image, click OK at the bottom left-hand corner of the page.

Member Search

How do I search for other ACTS members?

·         Once logged in, under the Member Center tab, select ACTS Member Directory. This will take you to a page that will allow you to search for an ACTS member by first or last name, job title, organization (employer), city, state, or country.

How do I find and view the profiles of other ACTS members?

·         When logged in, click on the down arrow next to the search box in the upper right corner of the site.

·         Search for a member by first or last name.

·         To view their full profile, click on their name.

How do I update the information displayed on my profile (your new My Page) through the ACTS Directory?

·         All of the information being pulled in to your My Page or your profile that is visible to other members, is coming from your full user profile.

To edit your profile:

1.    When logged in, click on My Profile under My Options.

2.    On your profile page, click Edit Profile button on the right. Your full profile will be visible and editable.

To edit what is displayed in the User Details section on your My Page:

1.    When logged in, click on My Profile under My Options.

2.    Click on the My Page button on the right-hand side of the page.

3.    On your My Page, hover over the Actions link and select Edit Visibility Settings.

4.    You will see a list of all of the information that is currently displaying on your My Page. The default value for all users is shown to the right of the field. To change the information that is displayed, click on the drop-down list and make a selection.

5.    A number of fields are available to add to your My Page at the bottom of the list, but have been hidden by default. To show them on your page, select Show from the dropdown list to the right of the field that you would like displayed on your page.

To add a widget to your My Page:

·         Click on the add Widget buttons near the bottom of your page.

·         Select a widget you would like to add to your page, and follow the instructions to add your widget to your new My Page.

My Links

How do I bookmark a ACTS page through the new website? 

·         You can now bookmark pages straight through the website instead of adding them to your browser’s bookmarks.

·         When logged in, hover your cursor over the My Links link at the top right-hand corner of the website.

To add a page:

·         On the My Links drop-down menu, add the page you are currently on by selecting the Add this Page link.

·         You will then be able to edit how the page title will show in your My Links section. Save the page to your My Links section by selecting OK in the bottom right-hand corner of the pop-up window.

To edit the display order of your links or delete a link:

·         On the My Links drop-down menu, select the Edit Links link.

·         To change the order: You will then be able to shift the order that your links display by using the arrow buttons to move a link up or down in your list.

·         To delete a link: click on the red x button. The link will be deleted from your My Links section.

·         When you have finished making your desired changes, click OK in the bottom left-hand corner to save your changes.
